The cleaning industry is set to witness a new era of transformation and leadership as Cleaning for a Reason and Buckets & Bows Maid Service founder Debbie Sardone takes her seat on the ISSA 2024 Board of Directors. This prestigious recognition is a testament to Sardone’s exceptional contributions in elevating the Cleaning Industry and her unwavering commitment to compassionate causes.

Since starting her residential cleaning business from the trunk of her car in 1982, her visionary leadership has not only shaped the industry but also brought about a profound change through a compassionate give-back program benefiting cancer patients and their families. With this recognition, Sardone’s influence extends from Cleaning for a Reason to the global stage of ISSA – The WORLDWIDE Cleaning Association.
As the founder of Cleaning for a Reason, Sardone has spearheaded an initiative that partners with over 1,300 residential cleaners across the United States and Canada. This partnership offers free home cleaning to cancer patients and their families. Since its inception in 2006, the nonprofit and its partners have contributed services valued at over $17 million, providing aid to more than 50,000 cancer patients. In 2017, Cleaning for a Reason found a new home within ISSA Charities.
In addition to her visionary role at Cleaning for a Reason, Sardone is also the owner and founder of Buckets & Bows Maid Service. Buckets &; Bows Maid Service is one of the largest independently owned residential cleaning companies in the country, with over a 3 ½ million dollars in annual sales and employing more than 65 employees. With a legacy spanning over 35+ years, the company is renowned for creating free time for busy individuals through top-rated residential cleaning services. Awarded the Best of Denton County every year consecutively since 2011, Buckets & Bows Maid Service stands as a stalwart advocate for Cleaning for a Reason. The company’s contribution to the cause is evidenced by its impressive record of donating cleaning services valued at $112,997 to benefit 368 cancer patients since 2006, making them a Top Cleaning Partner for the organization in both 2021 and 2022.
